Sheri Luévano-Founder, Instructor & Camp Host

Meet Sheri Luévano! It’s fair to say that she is obsessed with this whole concept of drum camps specifically designed for female drummers. During an all female camp she heard from Mike Johnston that he no longer wanted to teach all female drum camps. He said he thought that these camps should be taught by females. Knowing the joy and camaraderie she felt while at this camp, Sheri knew right then and there that she had to do something about this. The idea would just not go away!  And here we are!!!

Sheri has a master’s degree in music education and has been a private drum instructor since 2010.  Sheri has studied with Mike Curotto, Mike Johnston, David Garabaldi and Zoro to name a few. She also loves going to drum clinics and learning everything she can from drummers who are successful in the music industry. When she is not out on the farm feeding the chickens & goats, you will usually find her in her drum studio, teaching private lessons, working on some sweet new grooves, getting faster at hand and foot technique, songs for a church gig, or working on her favorite project… Sisters on the Drums!

Karen Wulff-Instructor

Meet Karen Wulff instructor extraordinaire! Karen grew up in a musical family and from the age of 10 she toured northern California with her family band playing songs from the 50’s 60’s and top 40’s. She has performed at multiple locations across California and she was even sponsored by Coca Cola. Karen appeared on cable and television programming weekly and received music scholarships for outstanding achievement on multiple occasions. Over the years Karen has polished her craft by studying under drum masters such as Benny Greb, David Garibaldi, Mike Johnston, and Tony Dey. She is continually growing as a player by learning new linear patterns, independence exercises, permutations, poly-rhythms, world grooves, and the coolest show off licks.

Playing the drums is Karen’s passion and teaching the drums is what she loves to do. Her joy stems from helping students to reach their drumming goals and potential.
