Camp Prep
I bet you are wondering…What to pack…Will there be snacks…etc…
details are right here on this page.
How do I get to camp, and will I need transportation once I get there?
AIRPORT: Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is 33 miles from The Farm and the Downtown Auburn historic distric. *We will provide a shuttle for you for your arrival and departure. See note below.
TRAIN: There is an Amtrack station in Auburn about 2 miles from The Farm and we are happy to shuttle you back and forth for your arrival and departure.
TRANSPORTATION : There is no need to book a vehicle unless you would like to travel to different destinations in the evening or early morning. It’s a quick 5-10 minute ride into town. You are welcome to drive on your own, however transportation will be provided each day to and from your hotel and to the historic downtown district of Auburn for lunches and dinners. We may do “take out” some days as well.
*Transportation will be provided from the Sacramento International Airport (SMF) at 3 pm on the day of arrival.
Transportation will head back to the airport at 9 am on departure day. Guests are responsible for their own transportation should their flights arrive outside of these 2 shuttle times.
Camp begins at 6pm on Thursday evening, and ends at 6pm on Sunday evening.
What to bring with me:
- Your favorite drumsticks
- Headphones
- Comfortable shoes. You will probably want to leave your stilettos at home. 🙂
- Warm jacket/sweater
- Ear plugs
- Your go to beauty supplies (but please no perfume (including strong smelling hair products, thanks!)
What to leave behind:
- Husbands/boyfriends
- High heels and flip-flops (tennis shoes or cowgirl boots are way more appropriate)

It is something that I look so forward to. The instructors are fantastic, the space is a perfect learning environment complete with a resident Llama that enjoys listening to the morning warm ups on the porch. I highly recommend this experience, it is a safe and supportive place to learn drums with a group of amazing women.Posted on Mary CaorsiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
